A. Ok. My advice to you is to visit the school and see what classes they have to offer. Check out what the job market is looking for in their employees and see if the school matches that. Also, see if the school fits your learning style. Do you like small classes or large ones? Do you plan on going to graduate school then you will need to know if they have a good research program for undergraduate student so that you can become qualify to apply to graduate school? What is your budget for school. State vs private school so you are not burden with student loans. You have to do your research. A list wont do you any good. Everyone is different. One school maybe great for one person and bad for another. So you need go on the link below research… [cont.]

A. I found several... there are approximately 75 within the US. In the link I posted you can fill out what you want in a college, or example, state, size, cost... the best part is you can pick major (Zoology/animal biology is listed under Biological and biomedical sciences.) Just fill out all the questions and it will give you a list of schools.

A. I recommend you do what is best for you. While I am sure he would love a roommate, he will find one. You need to concentrate on what you need right now. I know of two schools that have a good program. One is UNF (Jacksonville) and USF (Tampa). I actually know a girl that finished at USF. She works with Animals at Wild Adventures now. Good luck!

If I wanted to study Zoology, what COLLEGE programs should I take?
Q. What college programs will help me get a feel for biology and zoology? I have to take a 2 year college program before university. Would Dental Hygienist be a science/health related field? Could I transfer some credits to further animal/science related fields??? Please someone help me out!
Asked by ash - Wed Oct 14 14:15:13 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Animal science would be a good choice for zoology, but most of your freshman classes will be biology classes anyway. A dental hygienist program will train you specifically to work in that field so that might not be the best choice unless you do want to become a dental hygienist. I would suggest taking some entry level biology courses. This would give you a good introduction to any field in this area and will most likely fill any prerequisites you may need to transfer to a university program. Good luck!

A. There are multiple colleges you can attend and I'm not sure which is the best as far as zoology. You could try Ole Miss, USM, MSU, MC, Millsaps, etc.! :) I'd probably research and see which is the best, but I'm assuming maybe either Ole Miss or MSU, though I'm a Southern grad!
