What gpa do I need to get to be accepted into ohio state university?
Q. I am a sophomore in high school and i'm starting to plan for college. My ultimate goal is to get into ohio state university and I know that I have to get good grades for that. In my freshman year I got a 3.4 gpa and I know that is not enough. What do I need to get to have a chance of getting in?
Asked by Alex - Mon Jul 12 22:53:30 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Aim for a minimum gpa exceeding 3.5 and and act score of around 28-29. Also, extra circulars are essential. Diversity is the key at OSU. Volunteer work and participation in a variety of after school programs will go a LONG way in the admissions process.

A. After all danger of frost is past. For central Ohio, that's May 15th. You could also start them 2-3 weeks earlier inside, and then transplant the seedlings outside after the last frost date.

A. If you can get in, it is getting harder and harder to get in each year. It's a party school, and a very respected university, which'll look good on the resume.

A. Call the Franklin County Metroparks and ask: You also might want to check out the Goodale Park Shelter House as it's probably as close to Ohio State as possible. Perhaps Ohio State has facilities available. If you're interested, call and ask for their facilities or grounds department. Whetstone Park (probably my pick if being really close to OSU is important), home of the superb Columbus Park of Roses, has picnic areas, shelterhouses, many athletic facilities, ample parking, and is within a few miles of Ohio State. I assume it has restrooms. BOL!!!

A. Ohio State has a great program. I'm investigating several schools right now to select one to enter and I'm tempted by Ohio, in spite of how far from home it is. Aviation programs at universities are all fairly comparable. Just apply yourself to topping the class. How well YOU perform is more important than which school you attend. Good luck.

A. yes it does. i attended the school down in c-bus. its a terrible program and i dont suggest it. i left after two years to finish elsewhere. Also, when I left, seven of my friends in the program left as well. Ohio honeslty is not a great state for sciences, specifically environmental. schoold to check out in this state are Ashland University, Oberlin College if your looking for a bachelors and beyond. If your looking for an associates degree check out Hocking Tech or Kent State (warren campus). The University of Akron offers as well...i dont knw how good the program is though. If you need more help...emial me id be glad. KT: ggirl2006@aol.com

How competitive is getting into Ohio State University / what are my chances?
Q. I'm a Junior and I have collectively probably a 3.7 or 3.8, this year's marking period I managed a 4.0. I live in PA and I haven't taken SATs or ACTs yet. But how competitive is it to get in, especially for people who are not Ohio residents? =/
Asked by sing_intherain - Wed Nov 12 17:34:42 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It's pretty easy compared to other top schools, even though it is one of the most competitive (if not the most competitive) state university "The 2007 freshman class had an acceptance rate of 52%, and the enrolled freshman class had the following composition: students graduating in the top 10% of their high school class (57%); the top 25% of their high school class (91%); the top 50% of their high school class (99%). 27% of the freshman class scored in the top 3% of the SAT or ACT, while 72% scored in the top 15%. The middle 50% range of ACT scores for the enrolled class was 26-30, with an average ACT score of 27." You could get in to Ohio State...you could also easily reach higher.

A. Ohio State has more than just the Columbus branch to its school. It's Columbus branch is a little more difficult to be accepted to than the others. I have been accepted to ohio state. To be accepted it is good to have a good grade point average like at least a 3.0 (depending on ur classes and other tests taken that may not matter). Having a decent score on your ACT is another good thing to help along your acceptence. I got a 25 but having a score of 21 is very good as well. As for classes I only took foreign language for 2 years and was accepted. I took a few extra math course though and keep up with your english. Other than that it isn't as difficult as it seems as long as you do alright in school. I hope you get accepted to be a Buckeye.… [cont.]

A. Probably around 1999/2000. They really started to tighten up their admission criteria and referred students to some of the extension schools in order to improve their academics before letting them transfer to the main campus.
