So, your web camera could be a problem if it plugs into the wall. Check the label on the power converter 'brick' if the cam plugs into the wall, besides just the computer. Some web cams only plug into USB plug on the computer. Many modern electronic appliances convert the Electric Power coming from the wall so the appliance has the proper amount of volts.
