How do I delete multiple inbox messages, instead of one at a time?
Q. On my other inbox accounts there is usually a box you can check that allows you to highlight several messages at once. I can't find a way to do that on my yahoo accout inbox. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How can I remotely download my inbox from a Microsoft exchange server?
Q. I need to remotely download the contents of my work inbox (which is on an exchange server) to my laptop. I have access via Microsoft Web Access (light version), but this only allows me to get one e-mail at a time. Any ideas? Thanks! I don't have direct access to the exchange server from where I am. I can only use the Microsoft Web Access front-end.
Asked by jesterphone - Wed Feb 4 18:33:18 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If you don't have direct access or RPC over HTTP for your exchange server, then you can not export items. Sorry, no way around, other than cut & pasting every item.

What is the maximum number of E mail messages that my Yahoo inbox is capable of containing ?
Q. Yahoo E mail tutorials are , for the most part, concise. However, they do not say what will happen should my E mail inbox become overfull . When my mobile inbox becomes full , for example after twenty messages, I have to delete older messages inorder to receive new ones . Is it the same with Yahoo E mails ?
Asked by Nabil - Sat Apr 3 11:46:01 2010 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. No, Yahoo tells us that we have unlimited storage for our E-mails. Theoretically, that means we can have many, many mails in our account without worrying about it. I have heard of many people having between 40,000 and 70,000 E-mails in there accounts. Those mails are on the Yahoo server, so there should be no problems for your computer, either. However. I must tell you that if you have an older computer with a slower processor and little memory, that having many E-mails on your account very well can affect your computer and the way that it works. Even a newer computer that has a great deal of stored data on it could be affected. So, please, keep that in mind.

How to print a list of all items in inbox with a single command?
Q. I have over 200 items in my inbox. This shows up in several pages. Selecting each page separately requires multiple comands, prints multiple headings etc. Or perhaps, download a list of all e-mails to use with a database.
Asked by Enrique - Tue May 4 16:09:31 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The below answer explains how you can display ALL of your emails in All New Mail and increase the number of emails in Mail Classic. Once you get to the screen you want you can print them by dragging your arrow over them while holding down the left click of your mouse which hilights those areas you dragged the arrow over.. Go to the top left of your screen and click on EDIT...then PRINT then selection and finally click on OK. Your hilighted area will then print. All At Once??? The only way is if you switched to "All New Mail". It has a continuous mail page which allows you to delete en mass. Click on FROM (which checks them all) then click on DELETE...either on your email page or keyboard. You can switch back to Classic mail… [cont.]

A. Don't need software. You can delete all, if you switched to "All New Mail". (just for that purpose). It has a continuous mail page which allows you to delete all at once. Click on "more actions"---then "check all" and then "delete". You can switch back to Classic afterward. The link that allows you to switch back and forth between the two is at the top of your mail page, next to "sign out", and says either "Classic or All New Mail" depending on which one you're using at the time. Otherwise, with Classic, it's page by page. BUT---you can speed it up by changing the "messages per page" to 200 instead of 25. That makes it 8 times faster, with 200 at a time. Mail page>>options (top right)>>scroll to and click on "general preferences". Now,… [cont.]

Why does my yahoo inbox not store my messages since I configured it to a mail client?

A. Go back to you email client set-up wizard and find the option to "Leave a copy of messages on the server". I'm not familiar with the Mac email client you're using, but in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 it is at Tools > Email Accounts > View or Change existing email accounts > Change > More Settings > Advanced tab > check box to "Leave a copy of messages on the server". It should be a similar process in any other program.

How can I prevent emails from being deleted automatically from my inbox?

A. Email should not disappear from your inbox. It is only the trash and spam that is emptied. Rather than keeping all your mail in a single folder I would create folders by subject and move them from the inbox. If you constantly have deletion problems contact Yahoo. Here is a form for mail help. They get back within 24 hours. l q

A. I had the exact same problem with my enV! I know exactly how to fix it, in your contacts you must include the area code in the phone number! When a text comes through it includes the area code so it has to look the same in your contacts. Hope it works for you.

How can I stop a particluar type of spam mail from being delivered to my inbox?
Q. I am constantly receiving e-mails in my inbox from supposed Yahoo Groups asking me to confirm my request to join a variety of sex related webcam sites. These mails are always from different sites and I've tried filtering them, but they keep coming to my inbox. How do I stop this?
Asked by Geri - Tue Dec 22 12:00:13 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You can not completely stop all spam, but you can help to put a big dent in it. First, try not to open any of them, that only makes them send more and more to you. Check mark them and click on 'Spam,' this should stop those addresses from being delivered to your inbox. Use your spam guard and block address. Look for the 'Options' link at upper right corner of mail screen and click on it Options /mail options Click on 'spam' in the list on the left. Make sure spam guard is on, by checking in the little box. Then in 'Blocked Email Addresses,' enter the E-mail address you wish blocked, in the box after 'Add a blocked address' and click on the 'add' button, then click on save changes at top left of screen. You will never get mail from that… [cont.]

when I select one of the messages in Inbox, Yahoo opens a different one?
Q. It has happened repeatedly today and before: I click on the subject of an unread message in my Inbox and a different one opens (different subject, sender and content). I went back with the browser, clicked again on the message I wanted to read, and the page displayed the same different one. I tried with another unread message in the Inbox, Yahoo opened the one few lines above on the list... Anybody with the same issue?

A. If you click on the options like From,Subject,Date & Size( which are displayed on the top of the all emails). Then the yahoo will automatically rearrange the emails in that manner. Like if you click on the subject option then email will get arrange in different way.So come to normal state just click on the Date option repeatedly three or four time.Which will rearrange the emails in the old date to new or new to old one.I have tested so many times. It is not a problem. If you have many emails in your inbox then This is the one of the good method to find and arrange emails.

How do I stop receiving messages in my livejournal inbox?
Q. What used to happen was I would get emails whenever I got a comment on lj. But then, out of nowhere, I began to get emails AND messages in lj inbox. I can set it up so that I don't get emails, but still receive the message, or that I don't receive any kind of notification at all. How do I change it back to only getting emails? It's annoying to have to go back into my inbox to delete the comment after replying. Thanks!
