How do I redirect emails from a specific email address to a new email address?
Q. Hi. How would redirect emails from a certain email address to a new one. What I mean is...I use Yahoo as my personal. I get business emails sent to my personal. How do I redirect the business emails to a completely different email address?
Asked by Lee O - Wed Aug 11 21:23:47 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It depends on the program/provider that you use to get your business emails from. Usually there's a setting or an option that allows you to forward all incoming mail to the email of your choice. I do that with all of my email accounts, so I know that you can, but it varies within programs.

How to receive emails from one Facebook account to 2 emails?
Q. I have tow email addresses and I use them at different times. I would like to receive emails from facebook on both of my email accounts. Is that possible?
Asked by Ryan F - Tue Dec 22 16:56:40 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Facebook will only send the notifications to one email account. The only way to receive Facebook notifications on both accounts is to have one of your email accounts to automatically forward a copy of EACH and EVERY incoming mail to the other account. Just look in the FAQ section of one of your email accounts, and it'll show you how to do that.

How can emails sent to my gmail account be automatically organised into different folders?
Q. I have synced my gmail account so as to receive emails from my webmail account. How can I ensure that all incoming mail from my webmail account (and that is already labelled as such) can automatically go into an email folder AND not be seen amongst the main inbox emails?
Asked by Roman - Wed Dec 30 14:59:28 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Yes. Create a filter. On the first tab of creating a filter, set up the appropriate criteria for figuring out what sort of email is involved (like what email addresses it's from, or what words are in the Subject, or whatever...). Then click Next. Then on the first radio button click Skip the inbox (Archive) and also click (further down the screen) Apply Label ... (and give it a label name). Labels are the GOOG equivalent to "folders". Then "Create Filter" and there you go. Create as many filters as you like, and collect'em, and trade'em with friends.

How can I send emails to a group of people without constantly typing everyone's address?
Q. Hi. I need to send emails to 32 students using gmail. I don't want to have to type up their emails every time I do this, or find them in the drop down menu of remembered emails. Is there anyway to create an "address book" with gmail so that when I want to sent to that group, I just click it and email? Thanks.

A. Taken from the Gmail Help page: To create a contact group: 1. Click Contacts along the side of any page. 2. Click the New Group button located in top portion of the Contact Manager. 3. Enter the name of the group. 4. Click OK. To add contacts to a contact group: 1. Select the contacts in the Contacts list. 2. Open the Groups drop-down menu. 3. Under Add to..., select the group you'd like to add the contact to, or select New group to create a new group.

A. first log in to the comcast smartzone. you automatically begin in the "home" zone. click the "email" tab to go to that zone. then click on the "preferences" tab to take you to that zone. the first section below the tab has four links. click on then navigate to the "auto forward" link (the last of four). if you can't do it from there, then g-d help you.

How can I redirect certain emails from my Yahoo account to a different email account?
Q. I sometimes get work messages sent to my Yahoo account, and would like to be able to redirect them (and only them) to my work email account with the headers intact, so it still appears as from them (if I forward the emails, as I do currently, my name is in the 'from' field). I have Yahoo Plus, if that makes any difference.

How can someone receive emails but say their server is down and cannot reply to these emails?
Q. My Real Estate agent has stated that although they are able to receive my emails, they are unable to reply due to their server being down, and specifically to a particular carrier which I am with. Can someone please explain if this is possible and if so how? Thanks!

A. With email, there is an inbound server and an outbound server. The outbound is referred to as an "SMTP" server. (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) Usually these are the same server, however it's entirely possible that they are not. It's also entirely possible (and quite likely) that they may be relying on their SMTP server from their ISP. It's not uncommon for there to be a series of relays involved in the process. The only reason I can think that your carrier would matter is if they may be attempting to use an alternate Server than they normally do, and that your carrier is strict about not receiving mail from servers that aren't validated as being the correct source for the email domain that they are sending from. It seems common… [cont.]

How can I receive my filtered emails into my blackberry?
Q. I've added a filter for specific emails to go into a folder, but now I don't get those emails to my blackberry like all other emails. What's wrong? They go into the folder, but cannot access those through my blackberry.

A. Once you create filters on your email client (Outlook, Yahoo, etc) and they don't touch the Inbox, the emails aren't delivered to your BlackBerry. Unfortunately I don't believe there's a work around to this issue.

A. How do I use an extra mail address when sending mail? When you're composing a message, the "From:" field has a pull-down menu that shows your primary address and your extra mail address. Click and hold down "From:" to select your extra mail address, if you want to use it. Recipients will see that address. And, yes: You can make your "extra" address the default address in the "From:" field. That way you don't have to choose it, it's just there, every time. Making it your default address is also easy. Here's how: Click Options in the upper-right corner of the page. Under Management , click Mail Addresses. In the list of addresses, click your extra address. In the box to the right, next to Sending Mail , click Make Default. Now you… [cont.]
