A. omg same here. my sister told me it was ingrown hairs. she said you have to wait like a week(ik) before shaving ur armpits again. but where lots of deodorant and long sleeves and no one will know. also i read a website for getting rid of ingrown hairs and when you let the hair grow out a little bit you can use tweezers and pluck it out. the redness will go away. and im only assuming you have ingrown hairs so i would try this and see if it works and if it doesnt im sorry for wasting your time.

Have strange little bumps on fabric of suit. How do I get rid of it?
Q. I have a Ralph Lauren suit that has little uneven bumps on various patches of the suit. When I iron it, the fabric smooths out, but after it cools the bumps return. Please let me know how I can get these out for good! Shave it: probably not. It's a business suit, so the fabric is pretty thin to begin with.

A. They have fabric shavers you can get that take off those annoying little bumps, but leave the fabric in tact. They are also referred to as lint shavers or clothes shavers. Here is an example of one: You should be able to find small ones at Walmart or Target for around $5.

A. Baby powder works very well for some skin problems like that. Try some Shower2Shower baby powder. It feels really really good on the skin. You can also try something like Goldbond medicated powder, but it doesn't smell very nice. Also, splashing lots of cold water on irritated skin brings instant relief. Then, the baby powder.

How do you get rid of bumps and redness after waxing?
Q. I got my upper lip waxed a few days ago and then all these little white pimples (bumps) and red swelling started to appear. I don't think I'm allergic to it because I've got a wax before and this didn't happen. I've been putting ice on my lips and it helps a little bit, but its not really making it go away. What can I use to make these bumps go away quickly?

A. Are they small white bumps? It could be Milia. I've had them before around my eye. It's just dead skin that gets trapped in a fluid filled pocket. My doctor gave me a sterile needle and I just had to poke the bump to pop it and allow the trapped skin and fluid to get out. It went away after that. They aren't harmful at all though so it isn't necessary to remove them. See your doctor first to confirm before doing anything though! Here are some pictures:

What are these tiny bumps on my shoulder?
Q. On my right shoulder I have a million tiny, flesh colored dots, tiny raised bumps. Many bumps have 1 tiny hair in them, and they showed up out of nowhere. They do not itch, hurt, or have any coloring on them. If anyone knows what chicken skin is, thats basically what it is like. This spread down the right side of my back most of the way. This isn't a few large raised bumps, its like a couple hundred dots, all of them look exactly the same, they are just raised bumps, and they are barely raised at all too. Anyone know what this could be?

A. those are ingrown hairs. I get them too - have had em for many years. It sucks but I have come to the realization that there are just some things that I cannot wear because my skin is never going to be perfect. For those of us in that situation, I guess we have other good qualities that help make up for it. :)

A. I use to be like that. i use a sensitive shaving cream and a 3 blade razor. make sure your water is pretty warm too. when you are done shaving rub baby oil on your spot and let sit then before you get out of the shower rise it off. then pat dry or air dry it. after doing this a couple of times it shouldn't bump up anymore. but only shave every two-three days if you shave every day it will bump up all the time. hope it helps.

How do I get rid of razor bumps and ingrown hairs on face?

A. How often does he shave? the more often he shaves, the more his face and neck will get used to having an incredibly sharp instrument drawn across it. Are these bumps ingrown hairs, infected cuts, or just irritation? Ingrown hairs need to be removed as soon as he sees them, obviously. infected cuts can be taken care of by shaving and immediately washing his face with antibacterial soap and water. irritation is a little harder to deal with because it could be caused by a number of things, but main cures are moisturizing lotions and Aloe Vera lotions. Lastly, how curly is his hair? the curlier his hair the likely he is to get ingrown hairs, and the harder they'll be to remove. basically, with curly hair, when he shaves the hair entirely… [cont.]

A. its either razor burn, or ingrown hairs. these are both common. I would remcommend moistuising your legs straight after shaving them. and shave them after you have had a warm/shower or bath. this makes the hairs easier to cut. if its ingrown hairs then make sure you are cutting them correctly. its best for a little while to go with the grain (cut them downwards not upwards) this should mean they grown back normally. for any ones that dont you can get a cream from the chemist which helps to clear it.

A. Use a loofah sponge on it EVERY time you shower, with some type of moisturizing body wash. When you get out of the shower, put a moisturizing cream on it. You should see improvement in a week or so. My friend had this on her butt, the backs of her thighs and her upper arms. She did the above, and it was gone in 2 to 3 weeks. If this doesn't work, then you should see a dermatologist. Good luck!

How do I get rid of these bumps from an allergic reaction to latex kitchen gloves?
Q. Silly me didn't pay attention and bought a pair of latex dishwashing gloves. I'm allergic to the powdery latex substance in the gloves. I used them and now I have itchy bumps all over my arms, neck and face (I guess I touch my face a lot!) They aren't that visible, but I can feel the hundreds of tiny little bumps. I stopped using the gloves 5 days ago (only using them once) and have used cortisone cream on the rash, but nothing has worked. What are some other home remedies to use? The allergic reaction isn't so severe that I need to go to the doctor. I just need some relief. Not just the powdery substance...the actual latex glove itself as well.

How do you prevent razor bumps on your bikini line?
Q. Whenever I shave my bikini line, I always get red razor bumps. How do I stop this from happening?
Asked by Lauren R - Thu Jul 3 21:24:38 2008 - - 13 Answers - 1 Comments

A. Razor bumps are something that are VERY hard to avoid. One thing that can prevent them is shaving in the direction your hair grows. Also, before you shave very gently exfoliate the area you are about to shave. This gets all the dirt and dry skin away. Then, afterards use a cream that reduces razor bumps for your bikini area. Sallee Hansen has some good products for it but if you don't want to spend the cash, I've found that baby oil works well too.
