Q. I had to post this becuase too many people are misinformed about how food recalls work in another question. Apparently there are some of you who do not understand how the business works. I ve been working in logistics ( that the shipping industries word to encompass the distribution/warehousing/ storage/ and inspection of basically every item you see in any store from aspirin to zucchini) for well over 10 years. My job specifically deals with inventory control and that includes code dating ( when food is still ok to eat) and tracking the country of origin of imported items . Recalls are VERY common in the industry, the reason you see them is because testing of products never end. Say a ship load of fish is imported even though they… [cont.]
